It's not every day that you get to meet one of Mzansi's greatest struggle icons.

That's why SA's new queen of talk, Pearl Modiadie, has expressed honour after meeting living legend Winnie Mandela. The TV and radio host took to Instagram to share a picture of herself with Winnie, which was taken during Saturday's Nelson Mandela Day celebtrations in Soweto. 

 

On Mandela Day, I met an incredible woman. Mam' Winnie Madikizela-Mandela. It was truly an hour. The Winnie Madikizela-Mandela foundation was giving back to the elderly and being part of the #67minutes celebrations is an experience I will treasure for a very long time. What a joyous occasion. #BeMoreMadiba , #BeMoreSelfless every day.

Nomzamo Mbatha also got the chance to meet Winnie recently. 

 

My late grandmother named me after the mother of our nation. Nomzamo- 'She who strives' Had the HONOUR of meeting her at the Presidential Youth Day Celebration. She held me. Her namesake. The girl who will one day play her in a biopic of her life. I declare it. They fought for THIS.. That NOTHING would seem impossible.. Happy Youth Month African Child. SHINE !!!
