Public voting open for the Royalty Soapie Awards

Alright people it’s about that time we get our voting hustle up again and vote for our favourite local soapies.  Considering that it’s been a great year for Telenovela’s like “Isibaya” and “Zabalaza" we have no doubt that the voting process for us soapie fans is sure going to be another difficult one.

Hot on the heels of the nominees’ announcement, organisers of the anticipated Royalty Soapie Awards have announced details of the public voting process for the Most Popular Soapie of the Year category.

From 8:00am on 2 November, soapie lovers countrywide will be able to vote for their favourite soapie from the list of 10 soapies in the running. A limit of 20 votes per mobile number per soapie applies. Voters also in line to win 2 of 10 VIP tickets to watch the live awards show at the Durban Convention Centre on the 8th of March 2014.

The 10 soapies in the running for this coveted award are:


7de Laan
Binneland
Generations
Inkaba
Isibaya
Isidingo
Muvhango
The Wild
Villa Rosa
Zabalaza

“This is the one category at the Royalty Soapie Awards where soapie lovers from across the country get actively involved in determining who’s going home with the statuette”, added project director, Sindile Xulu.

Fans can refer to www.royaltysa.com for more information and terms and conditions around the voting process. Voting will close on the night of the show at 21h00, just before the winner is announced live to millions of fans on SABC 1.

Fans are encouraged to SMS the name of their favourite soapie to 33017. SMS costs R1.50 and a limit of 20 votes per mobile number per soapie applies.
