"Everybody say heeeey Ms Carter..." Beyonce has made history this week by becoming the most nominated female musician in Grammy history.

Beyonce has had an absolutely smashing year in the music industry and this weekend it turned historic. The Drunk In Love star became the most nominated woman in Grammy history, leaving Dolly Parton behind (The two had been tied before this year). After the success that was her surprise release, self titled album, it was no surprise to see Beyonce scoop an impressive six nominations for the upcoming 57th annual Grammy Awards.

Beyonce has always found new ways to prove that she is a cut above the rest and to end the year on such a high note, despite controversy and increased compeittion from her industry peers is another reminder of the singer's class. Ever since making her debut in the late 90's with Destiny's Child, Beyonce has amassed an incredible 52 nominations at the Grammy Awards and taken home 17 of those over the years.

We wouldn't write off the possibility of her adding to that tally this year too! Well done Queen Bey.
