What's Hot: Bonang Matheba is not Revlon global ambassador

Revlon has denied that Bonang Matheba is their official global brand ambassador.

Well, this is rather awkward, it seems Bonang Matheba's business relationship with cosmetics giant Revlon is not going international.

According to the The Citizen, Queen B's recent announcement about being named a global ambassador for Revlon is untrue.

The media personality took to her Instagram account on Friday to announce the great news to her fans, but the post was soon deleted.

The newspaper spoke to Revlon’s communication manager, Michelle Stevens, who confirmed that they are still continuing their relationship with Bonang, however, they have no current plans for a global campaign with Matheba.

“Bonang is continuing her relationship with Revlon as a Brand Ambassador for South Africa. At this time, there are no plans to launch a global campaign with Bonang. As is Revlon policy, we do not comment on any further details of our Brand Ambassador contracts,” said Stevens.

Bonang’s Publicist Phumza Nohashe also released a statement confirming that the brand has renewed their partnership with Bonang but also admitted that Bonang may have jumped the gun with her social media announcement about being a global ambassador.

“The social media posting by Ms Matheba was made a bit previous to the official announcement, which will come in due course.”

And here we were getting so excited for the Queen B* maybe the "official announcement" will be something greater.
