Comedian Tumi Morake showed a glimpse of her life in e.tv's reality show Rolling with Tumi Morake, yesterday.

Tumi Morake is South Africa’s most recognizable female comediennes and fans got a sneak peek into her life this weekend when e.tv aired Rolling with Tumi Morake.

She juggles motherhood, work and co-owns a school and production company with her husband.

Tumi, known as the only one who has managed to pull off a successful one-woman stand-up show, has three kids - Bonsu (5), Lesedi (2) and Effia (4 months) with Mpho Osei Tutu.

Tumi spends her free time by relaxing at home and playing with her children.

When asked why she agreed to be part of Rolling with Tumi Morake, she said she still asks her self the question.

“I think partly because it is a format I have never worked in and I was curious and also to stop people from asking me if there is always laughter in my house, now they will see for themselves the jokes don't follow me home,” said Tumi.

As a comedian, fans expect Tumi to crack jokes where ever she goes.

“When they bump into me they say but you are so quiet in person, like they expect me to walk around telling everyone I meet a joke. That would be mental wouldn't it? I just smile graciously or do a polite laugh and walk away,” she explains.

With just a few more days left till Mandela Day, the queen of comedy said she would be volunteering.

“I will probably be visiting an orphanage around the corner from me. I have friends with more interesting projects so I am hoping to piggy-back on those,” said Tumi
