The countdown to SA Fashion Week has begun! Designers and organisers are in a flurry of chaos as it’s less than 72 hours away. This year the event will run from the 11th-15th April so best you start booking your front row (FROW) seats now. Resident fashion guru Miss Buttons, gives us the lowdown on what to expect this Fashion Week...
Thursday the 11th April looks like a winning line-up to kick off the fashion festivities. It’s jam packed with the likes of showcases by Clive Rundle, Amanda Laird Cherry, Black Coffee and Terrence Bray to name a few. By the by, Clive Rundle and Nape are already sold out.
If you haven’t had a look through the programme already here’s the full programme to pick the designers you want to see. All tickets are R175.00 per show and you can book through Computicket.
I’m uber excited for the KZN Fashion Council slot on Friday 12th April because, lets be honest, no one does Spring-Summer quite as well as Durbanites.
Palse Homme is the late night show on Friday 12th April and if there is anyone I would stay up for it is Paledi. This year his collection East of the Sun is inspired by a recent trip to India and famous Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama of Louis Vuitton fame. You know, the woman who does all the polka dots.
There’s loads of collabs going down too. American Swiss and Fundudzi by Craig Jacobs, Aldo and Skorzch, Sies!Isabelle and Scariet. It’s really going to be a feast of South African fashion artistry. Now all that’s left to do is figure out what we’re going wear!

Who is Miss Buttons? She's a self confessed "fashion hustler" who loves every part of her not so straightforward job. She also just happens to be our resident style guru at ZAlebs!
