It has been a while since the Western Cape has produced an Idols winner but this week the Idols Audition Tour sets off for the Grand West Casino & Entertainment Centre outside of Cape Town to see if there is another Heinz Winckler or Karin Kortjé or Jody Williams or Sasha Lee Davids out there, as South Africa celebrates becoming only the second territory in the world to reach ten seasons of Idols! 

And the Fairest Cape certainly delivers on the fairer sex, with auditions from a celebrity cricket wife and a rebel who got herself kicked out of school three times, and even Demi Moore!

And this week also sees the return of the determined Vincent Verhoog from Kensington, who is trying out for his third Theatre Week. “I love that after ten seasons someone still gives a damn,” Idols judge Gareth Cliff noted, but will third time be the charm for Vincent?
