We’re crossing fingers for South Africa, which is one of only two African countries that received nominations for an international Emmy.
MasterChef South Africa has been nominated in the non-scripted entertainment category.
Satirical comedy “Puppet Nation ZA” (ZA News) scored a nomination in the comedy category.
Also up for an Emmy is “Miners Shot Down”, a documentary about the 34 miners who were shot dead by police in Marikana in 2012.
The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced all the nominees at a press conference on Monday night.
