What's Hot: SABC unsure of Generations court order
By Itumeleng Phiri on 08 July 2015 at 13:12 · Comments
The SABC is still waiting on a proposed court order from the 16 Generations stars who were fired from the show.

For almost a year, the sacked actors have threatened to take the SABC and Generations head honchos to court, but nothing has materialised in that regard. One of the big demands which is said to be asked for in the proposed court order is the shutting down of Generations: The Legacy, the successor to Generations.

However, the public broadcaster has no idea whether a court order will ever come their way, with spokesperson Kaizer Kganyago just as confused as the rest of us.

"I don’t know if it’s possible to stop Generations: The Legacy from airing and I will not comment on that since we have not received anything. Everything I hear or know is what I read on papers. They have been saying ‘we will take them to court next week and when next week comes, there’s nothing," Kganyago told Sowetan.

"Remember the court order is not against the SABC because we are just a correspondent. They were not SABC employees but MMSV employees. So we will just hear what needs to be done by us."

These comments from the SABC come shortly after Sophie Ndaba admitted that her fight with Generations was over.
