Sade Gilibert talks about positive body image, dieting and her thighs!
Do you ever feel insecure about your body?
Most women battle with their body image, regardless of how thin or fat they are on the outside. I’m quite happy with my body but obviously there are areas I find problematic. The one part of my body that I’ve always been sensitive about are my thighs…especially the part by my bum!
What’s your take on diets - Are you the kind of person who can eat whatever they want or do you have to work hard to keep your body in good shape?
(Laughs) I definitely do eat whatever I want but obviously in moderation. If I feel like having a pig-out day I’m not going to have KFC for breakfast, McDonalds for lunch and a pizza for dinner. I try to keep my diet wholesome with fresh veggies and fruits.
Now that I’m an adult I think dieting is so silly because in dieting you lose out on certain nutrients and certain proteins that you actually need in your body. So while I don’t completely agree with dieting I do believe that you need to just exercise and eat well.
Do you believe in plastic surgery?
I think that aging is part of life I don’t think it’s natural to go under the knife and undergo plastic surgery so that we can look twenty years younger…That’s really unnatural to me. Another reason why I’m not afraid of aging is because of my father’s genes. My Italian side of the family have the most amazing genes because they’ve all aged so beautifully! So I think I’ll be fine…
