South African musicians who had an amazing 2015 waited with baited breath as industry professionals gave them the nod or the snub for this year's SAMAs.
The South African music industry gathered at the Soweto Theatre in Jabulani to either show their support or to find out if their hard work was worthy of a nomination or not.
And by the looks of the video below, there are many artists who were happy with the panels' selections.
Nomuzi Mabena, who was the host of the event, was quite happy that her former label mate Kid X received a nomination for Best Hip-Hop album.

"I'm always rooting for hip hop, always rooting for young hip hop especially. So Emtee and Fifi Cooper, those are always my favorite names to see on a nominations list. Especially because they came out of nowhere and took the game by the storm. It's really great to see that they're not just a passing phase."
