Where were you and what exactly were you doing when your agency told you the great news about being a judge on Big Search?
My agent in London (Creative Solutions) has been in talks with the production company for a few months. I met up with the producers late last year- we all seemed to have common objectives when it came to UK television, so we decided to join forces. My ideal scenario would be to get more involved with the production side (as well as being a judge), but we're still ironing out schedules at the moment.
With such a great opportunity given to you, you automatically become an ambassador for South Africa. Is that a terrifying or exciting prospect for you?
It is a very exciting thought, I've always tried to fly our flag high when I'm out of the country. It gets me into trouble sometimes, especially with some South Africans who've left the country. But I love Mzansi with all I am, so being an ambassador is an honour.
So when do you leave for the U.K and how long will you be staying there? Please don’t tell us you’ve already left.
No, I haven't left yet, but I am typing this from the airport lounge. My flight only starts boarding in 20 minutes!
Are you still involved with the Purfect 8 brand and what can we expect from the brand in 2014?
Purfect 8 will always be by baby (no Mariah intended). Every time I travel, I take note of trends to incorporate into the label. 2014 will focus on market research and getting to know our target market. I'm starting to learn to buy stock, not just for my taste, but to cater to a wider variety of people.
We couldn’t avoid asking you this but Valentine ’s Day is upon us; does Sinazo have anything special planned for the day or are you like many of us who stay representing team Single?
I'm representing team #zithande. Love yourself enough to walk away from something toxic, and find the kinda love that keeps you smiling.
Your trip to L.A in during December was it just a normal Holiday or was it both business and pleasure?
I'm at a point in my life where almost every trip I take has a business element to it. LA was mostly leisure, but there's a lot of potential for making things like The Big Search happen there, too. Or maybe I'll open a chisa nyama there.
Lastly can we expect a new season of “So you think you can dance this year”? and considering you busy schedule will you also the host?
I don't know if there's a new season coming up. But if they ask me, I'm ready to dive back in! SYTYCD was an amazing journey, I wouldn't think twice about going back.
