So, who is Connie Ferguson?
Ferguson has been a mainstay in the South African television world for over two decades. Her believable portrayal of Karabo Moroka on Generations from 1993 made her a major hit with fans.
When her tenure on Generations came to an end in 2010, Connie, along with her current husband Shona, created Rockville, and her role as Mavis Mabaso continued her reign as South African soapie royalty. She is also currently working on Generations: The Legacy.
One thing that makes Connie stand out from the crowd is her constant need to improve herself and her career. Whether she is acting or setting up new productions through her production company, Ferguson Films, the highest level of professionalism is maintained.
It is that work ethic which ensures her success continues to rise. You just need to look at the fact that she was the first South African celebrity to launch a fragrance - now that is clever thinking!

What Connie has said…
On working with her husband, Shona (Destiny): "Business is a relationship, so respect plays a big role in accommodating each others views. We are both mature enough to admit when one is wrong."
On whether she is a role model (Woman and Home): "I’d like to believe I give my daughters a good sense of what it means to be a strong woman, and I do want to inspire the generation after me positively. That would be a dream."
On how she continues to look so good (Citizen): "When I’m not working I wear minimal make-up and allow my skin to breathe."
