If you have never heard of the comedy Suburban Bliss, then we feel awfully sorry for you.
It was the first real time we got to see black and white interact in a humorous way in a sitcom since the end of Apartheid, and it was brilliant.
The characters were brilliantly portrayed by the actors - including a very young Desmond Dube, while the constant battle between Hempies and Ma Moloi provided epic viewing - especially when at the garden fence.
This show, which started in 1996 and ran for 28 episodes, helped to bridge the gap between black and white during the difficult transition South Africa was going through at the time, and we are pleased to say that we witnessed this classic show play out.
Can we please have a reunion of some sort?
