Hollywood actor Terry Crews just can't seem to get enough of Mzansi! The former NFL football player-turned-actor has been spotted out-and-about South Africa in the past two weeks, admitting that he feels great “being home in the Motherland”.
The White Chicks actor is in the country to film scenes for his latest Hollywood movie alongside fellow Hollywood stars Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler in-and-around Sun City.
Known for acting in TV shows such as Everybody Hates Chris and BET's The Family Crews, Terry was spotted at the recent Red Bull Beat Battle contest in Soweto, interacting with fans and posing for photographs.
“This is the first time I've ever been to Africa and I am loving every minute. The people, culture, food, the history – its all amazing here,” he shared.
Terry told ZAlebs that his family is expected to join him in South Africa this week – while he films in Sun City.
“My wife (Rebecca) and my (five) kids are coming this week to join me here. I am excited to share this experience with them. South Africa is such a beautiful place and I am so thrilled to be shooting here so that the rest of the world can enjoy beautiful place too.”
While Terry is expected to be in SA for another six more weeks, he's already visited Cape Town and said he was “in awe” of the beautiful city.
“I got to visit Franschoek and spent about three days in Cape Town. Went on safari, visited the Winelands in Cape Town too. I loved it there.”
Playing mum about his character in the upcoming film, Terry mentioned that he was “thrilled” that Adam Sandler decided to film a movie in South Africa.
“We've been shooting at The Palace at The Lost City and I've been learning how to make things sound a little more African. I play a South African entertainer and it's been a lot of fun to learn the South African accent,” he shared.
