Time For Tea: When your mistress goes rogue
By Time For Tea on 04 December 2015 at 14:20 · Comments
South Africa's Home Affairs minister had to do some serious damage control this week.

The biggest news on social media this week was an open letter written by the alleged mistress of Home Affairs Minister Malusi Gigaba.

Buhle Mkhize spilled the tea on just about every detail about her alleged rendezvous with the minister.

We couldn’t make this stuff even if we tried: the SA Intelligence office knocking at her door, a big cash “parting gift”, and Instagram fights.

To say her “confessions” were juicy, is an understatement.

Here are a few highlights from Buhle’s tell-all letter that had social media talking.

Buhle claimed Malusi started chatting to her on Instagram in July 2014, but the first time she heard he was getting married, was while she was on vacation in Mexico with her friends.  (Now would be a good time to mention that the au pair turned celebrity stylist was also married at the time – allegedly, but we will get to that later). She showed her friends a message Malusi sent her on Instagram, and her girls quickly let her know that Mr Gigabyte was soon to be wed. Really, Buhle? You had no idea?

After Malusi’s betrayal, Buhle decided that she was not going to respond to his insta chats. And she took it as a sign that she needs to focus on her own marriage.

But before she knew it, her hotline started to bling, and it was Malusi of course. He apologised for failing to let her know he was getting married! He told her (allegedly) he felt obliged to marry Noma, they had kids, she had dirt on him, blah, blah, blah – you know, what cheaters usually tell the side chick. All was forgiven. But then, she says, Malusi went on honeymoon to Dubai with his wife, and had the nerve to posts pictures on Instagram.

She said about his latest betrayal: “So I went ballistic when I felt as though Malusi was throwing his marriage on my face.”

To cut a long story short, Buhle forgave him, he allegedly flew her to Cape Town and they spent time together again. But Malusi left his iPad out one day, and his wife Norma read some spicy messages between the two. Read about Buhle and Noma’s Insta Fight.

Buhle and Malusi called it quits for good, and he allegedly sent someone from the SA Intelligence office to give her a “partying gift” – which she says she believes was to buy her silence.  Buhle claims the SA Intelligence office offered her R500,000 to sign a non-disclosure fee, but the offer is not good enough, because she wanted Norma to apologise for calling her a prostitute – allegedly. Buhle then ended off her open letter with advice to other women dating married men.

Malusi responded to the allegations in an Instagram post, which he later deleted. He said Buhle has an “unhealthy obsession” with his family. He even went as far as to tell The New Age newspaper: “ ‘I do not know her. Never even heard her voice.‘”

We will just leave that there.
