Minnie Dlamini is definitely building a reputation for herself as one of South Africa's biggest football personalities. Fine, she might not have played football (Or at least I've never seen her playing) but she's added a lot of charm and flavour to the sport as well as some great analysis. The Soccerzone presenter also manages to add cuteness and quirkiness to her reporting and we see this both on and off the screen.
Minnie Dlamini's Instagram is a fantastic place to spend your time if you want to know what the Durban girl is up to on a regular basis and I think a lot of fans enjoy the fact that she doesn't mind letting her fans into her life through her Instagram page. Today, she shared both a picture and a video of an interview she was conducting with Amazulu FC player, Marc Van Heerden.

The picture was pretty well explained, as Minnie Dlamini pictures tend to be, although as a Joburger, I was extremely jealous of the gorgeous weather these Durban kids are enjoying. But it was the video that I really loved and it ties in with exactly what I was saying above- Minnie Dlamini adds even more fun to football.
In the video, Marc Van Heerden is teaching her how to spin a volleyball on one finger and Minnie's attempt to do the same is as hilarious as it is endearing. Football interviews are usually boring (Even more boring if you don't watch the sport!) and it's nice to see a presenter add her creativity to the whole thing.
As a football fan myself, I've really enjoyed the feminine touch that presenters like Minnie Dlamini and Naomie Nonyane have added to the local game. At the end of the day it means that more people are interested in watching their shows and learning about football, which is only good for the game. Now, if they can use their influence to build soccer schools one day I'll be even more happy, but let's take it one step at a time!
