So, this whole time people have been talking about how Generations: The Legacy is performing badly and how the SABC1 soapie has to watch out for competition from all of the other soapies on air. We've already spoken about e.tv's impressive offerings, Ashes to Ashes and Uzalo as well as SABC1's own new product, Uzalo.
Opinions have been aplenty following Generations' reboot as a soapie on SABC1 with many saying that the show is not "what it used to be." There have also been many rumours surrounding the show's viewership, with many commenting that the numbers have dropped since the show relaunched at the tail end of last year.
Meanwhile, SABC1's other leading show, Uzalo has been making an explosive impact on the Mzansi television scene since it's launched and already managed to reach a total of 5 million viewers in less than 6 months. Pretty impressive.
The show's credentials were confirmed today when director, Duma Ndlovu, the man behind Uzalo, as well as Muvhango revealed how well the shows performed this week, in comparison to Mzansi's other top soapies. Let's just say, the results are surprising.
Were you expecting some of these results? Especially considering that the likes of Isibaya and Zabalaza were ranked so lowly!
