What's Hot: Ayanda Mpama held it down on #OPW

Let's not lie to ourselves, Ayanda Mpama did an outstanding job on #OPW until the end.

Well, we honestly can’t say we didn’t see this one coming.

Ayanda’s journey with Mzansi Magic’s Our Perfect Wedding (#OPW) has come to an end. Next Sunday (27 September) will be the last time we see  Ayanda on the show, and we must say, despite the nasty tweets that were directed at Aya during her #OPW “reign”, she has managed to hold it down with such ease.

We’ll admit that we were also sceptical when it was announced in June that she’d be the next #OPW presenter after Tumi Morake, as those were big shoes to fill,

We remember thinking that she wouldn’t survive the entire season of the show, but three months down the line, she’s still here and kicking butt.

Her hairstyles and outfits have been ridiculed all over social media platforms, but that didn’t stop the great work she’s managed to display on the show. Even Akhumzi Jezile enjoyed her presenting skills.

Now we understand why Basetsana Kumalo encouraged the public to give Ayanda a chance.

By the way, you can check all our OPW reviews right here.

Ayanda knew how to address each couple - if the couple was young she would switch it up and she adapted to their young vibes. When the couple was older, like Bab' Vusi Tshabalala and his wife Thembi Tshabalala, she adapted to the situation and approached older couples with great respect and kindness.

Ayanda's journey on #OPW might be reaching an end but thumbs up to her for doing a great job. We hope to see her on our television screens soon.

According to Sowetan, Tumi Morake will return as the host. Wow! Now that's something we didn't expect.
