He told MTV Base VJ Sizwe Dhlomo during part two of his "Behind the Story" interview that he is not seeing anyone.
“The only thing [important] in my life right now is my daughter. I am not really on the lookout. But I haven’t lost hope,” he says.
DJ Zinhle revealed on her blog in September that AKA confirmed rumours of an affair between the pair.
But AKA has once again denied that he and Bonang were ever an item.
“Myself and Bonang have never been in a relationship [and] are not in a relationship.”
He did, however, come to her defence regarding the backlash she received following the affair allegations.
“I also have to just draw attention to the type of things people are saying about Bonang in the media. I read the type of names people are calling her. I just think it is very sad because I have known her for a while, and it is actually quite shocking the things people are saying,” he added.
It seems there might be some tension since Zinhle’s revelation (which she has refused to apologise for).
When Sizwe asked if AKA and Bonang were still cool, he replied: “Things are tough right now between everybody involved in this whole saga. I just think it is unfortunate that it is so public and it’s such a media frenzy. But I can understand why it is. I think for now, the best thing for me is to focus on my daughter and to focus on my career.”
It looks like fans will never really know what did or did not happen between Bonang and AKA.
