What's Hot: Bonang turns down Generations role

Bonang Matheba says she is too busy to take on another project, even if it is Generations: The Legacy.

While some people would kill to be on Generations: The Legacy, Bonang Matheba apparently has no time for the soapie.

Sunday World reported that the radio and television personality has turned down a chance to feature on the show. A source told the paper that she was approached and offered a special role in the number one soapie.

"She told the producers to come back to her in 2016 because she's too busy to take another project at the moment," a source claimed.

Bonang confirmed the offer to Sunday World.

"They told me that they had created a role for me and I told them that I am overworked. I suggested that they should approach me in a year or so when my diary is free," she said.

She added that it was painful to say no to Generations because it is a very big soapie. "But I am overwhelmed."

According to the tabloid, model Lerato Moloi has officially joined Mzansi’s most loved soapie. The former Elizabeth Arden model has reportedly started shooting for a character named Scarlet.

When called for comment, she told the paper: "I can't comment, the right person to comment is Phophi Mulaudzi [casting director for Generations] because they told me not to say anything."

Congrats, Lerato.
