Erm, so did the mayor of Boston, Marty Walsh, really declare 12 February Trevor Noah Day?
Hell yeah! Well, 12 February 2016 anyway.
Marty recognised The Daily Show host, who had a sold out show in the city at the weekend, for the contribution he has made to diverse talent in the region.
“Trevor Noah is the most successful comedians in Africa and adds to the diversity of talent seen in and throughout the Northeast region of America,” the mayor said in his proclamation.
While Trevor Noah Day was an official holiday in the City of Boston on Friday, residents were not able to take the day off!
Wow, so Trevor is out in the USA winning at life!
