The North God always goes all-out on his music videos, and this time it is no different.

Quick question: what happened the last time AKA, Burna Boy, and Da L.E.S got together to produce new music? All Eyes On Me, that’s what! As one of the biggest songs of 2014, the track topped a number of local charts and also won the MTV African Music Award for best collaboration.

Dubbed “The A-team”, the trio are back at it again, with their latest offering, entitled P.A.I.D. The music video dropped this week and was very well received.

The video, which was directed by Nigerian director Sesan, features fast cars, bright casino lights, lots of money, stunning women, and an enormous house in the northern suburbs of Johannesburg.  What else did we expect from someone nicknamed The North God?

L.E.S spoke to Bonang on The Front Row on Thursday, revealing that he flew Sesan in to shoot the video.

“I take the visuals to my music as seriously as I take my actual music. People know me for having such amazing videos, and that’s because I align myself with the right directors. It’s only right that I align myself with someone as great as Sesan, who’s been dying to do a music video for a South African artist,” Da L.E.S said.

The video was shot over a three day period – two days in Durban, and one day in Nigeria to shoot Burna Boy’s section.  Da L.E.S added that it was important for African musicians and directors to continue collaborating.

“It’s important for us to collaborate with people from Nigeria. There are amazing artists and directors such as Sesan and Clarence Peters. I’m really interested in working with up-and-coming African artists. I’m open to working with new African acts," he added.
