Thursday night was one entertaining evening as the Afrotainment team prepared to debut their first ever reality show, Ezase Afro, whilst Metro FM announced the nominees for this year’s Metro FM Awards.
Unlike Diski Divas' second season debut, Ezase Afro received a very positive response from Mzansi Magic viewers, who have expressed great excitement since the announcement of the show.
And even though the sad reality remained that R. Mashesha would not be here to celebrate the launch of the show with his fellow label mates, his memory was kept alive by all who were involved in the making of Ezase Afro.
Apart from the entertainment, the show brought one thing that viewers really appreciated about the Afrotainment team...
I like these guys. They keep it REAL. no fake lifestyles. No forced accents. Not trynna be anything they're NOT. I like that. #EzaseAfro

Unfortunately, there were also those people who forgot to place a reminder to watch the show and suffered the consequences of watching Ezase Afro on Twitter.
I forgot to watch #EzaseAfro 😢 When is the repeat?!

Sadly, Mzansi Magic has not announced if there will be any repeats of the show.
What we also enjoyed about the reality show was how it displays the strong work ethic the Afrotainment team has adopted.
From meeting tight deadlines for corporate clients to hitting the stage full force, from demanding studio recordings to tour difficulties, the series really stays true to the fact that the music industry is one of the hardest industries to work in.
Ezase Afro plays every Thursday at 8:00pm on Mzansi Magic.
