Feminism... according to Simphiwe Dana
The singer, who is known for being vocal about issues around race and women, explains what feminism is.
Some people seem to have the wrong idea about feminists. They are often labelled as angry women who want to be like men.
Simphiwe Dana, who was on Khanyi Mbau's Katch it with Khanyi talk show on Monday evening, explained that just because she is a feminist, it doesn't mean she wants to be like a man.
"No, thank you. I'm fine being a woman, being soft and being all of these attributes that women have. I'm fine with that, it's not even about that."
She said it's just all about being treated as an equal. "Don't treat me as anything less because I'm a woman. That's what feminism is."
We hope you get that!
