Since the passing of actor Tiki Nxumalo, who was better known as Mkhulu Sompisi on Generations, many fans and fellow actors have shared not only their deepest condolences, but have also dug deep into their pockets to assist with the financial side of Tiki’s funeral.
According to Daily Sun, the Department of Arts and Culture in KZN have also offered their help to the family wherever they can.
“It’s normal for the department to intervene when an artist dies, but I will not be able to say how much we contribute out of respect for the family,” Arts and Culture spokesman Lethukuthula Mtshali told the publication.
The publication also mentioned that Maz Herbal Products, who previously helped the late actor with food parcels, donated an amount of R2,500.
Nxumalo passed away on Monday after suffering an asthma attack. The 65-year-old actor was found dead outside his home by relatives.
