Eish... this is awkard.
Asanda Foji apparently didn't know about her axing from Generations: The Legacy. She only found out through Daily Sun, when they contacted her for a comment.
The paper reported that Asanda, who plays Simphiwe, Mazwi Moroka's wife on the popular soapie, had been deyning reports that her contract had not been renewed.
She told the paper: "These rumours have been going around for months now. I really hate this. I wish this could stop because you guys are stressing me out. I don’t understand why people keep saying these things because my contract hasn’t even been negotiated."
Asanda asked Daily Sun to wait until October when the decisions are made, and when they all know what's going on with her contract. This comment was reportedly made before the official statement confirming Asanda and Denise Zimba's departure was released by the show.
When contacted later, Asanda, who was reportedly confused, told the paper: "What? I don’t know what you are talking about. I have not been told that. Maybe my agent is going to call me about that. I just don’t understand what’s going on."
She apparently thanked the paper for telling her the news.
