What's Hot: #MMA15: The highlights

We take a look at our favourite moments from the 15th Metro FM Music Awards.

The champagne bottles have been popped and some celebrations are probably still going on, as artists such as Emtee, Nathi, and Fifi Cooper celebrate their multiple award collection.

We’ll admit, this year’s Metro FM Awards were a bit underwhelming with some rather shocking wins that we did not expect.

Here are our highlights from Saturday night:

Ambitiouz Entertainment winners of the night

Congratulations to Fifi Cooper and Emtee for cleaning up on Saturday night. They never saw you coming!

It was clear that the leaders of the new school came to win. Maybe they should’ve just called it the Emtee and Fifi Cooper awards?

Somizi’s Nomvula remix

Then there was Somizi, just before he handed out an award to the next winner he gave us his rendition of Nathi’s hit single Nomvula.

"KwaZulu-Natal, ndibizeleni uNomvula wam…unga vumeli uSuper Mega asi xabanise," he sang. Or something along those lines...

The remix was a clear dedication to Metro FM Award host, Bonang Matheba, who paid Somizi's dedication no mind.

According to rumours, the two personalities haven’t been seeing eye-to-eye and it seems like Somizi misses himself some Queen B.
But what’s up with the Super Mega shade?

The awkward moments

We also had a few awkward moments like when Lerato Kganyago’s surname was misspelt.

Or when Metro FM tweeted that Unathi, instead of Nathi, won the Best RnB album award.  Nathi didn’t win any RnB album award, but did scoop Best African Pop Album and Song of the Year awards.

Our most favourite tweet of the night:

Last but not least, shout out to the organisers of the show who made Bonang introduce Pearl Thusi on stage. Mo Flava could have done it, but hey, they proved to us that the Metro FM ladies can be professional when needs be.
