This year, Terry Pheto has not only managed to make Mzansi proud, but she has also inspired a lot of people.
The actress, who co-produced Ayanda - a movie which has enjoyed great success, doesn't let fame get to her head. Despite her many achievements, Terry has remained grounded.
Miss Pheto, who has been in the entertaiment industry for years now, somehow always manages to reinvent herself. On Thursday morning, she was interviewed on Metro FM's The Morning Fix, where she was asked to share how she remains relevant and on top of her game.
She said: "I just think it's about being who you are, just understand who you are, know who you are and don't try and be like the rest of them. Just be you, know your strengths, know what makes you special."
She added that she has her own story to tell: "I don't want to be affected by the next person. If you are in your lane you will always be the first one, but if you're running on other people's lanes you'll come second or last."
Yes, Terry, preach!
