It’s been a few years since Khaya Mthethwa won Idols SA and although he flirted with the idea of being a popstar, his destiny was always songs of worship.
We’ve seen Khaya become not only an Idols winner but one of the most celebrated and respected youngsters in Gospel music.
With his followers patiently waiting for his Uprising DVD to be released later in the year, Khaya has proven multiple times that he’s not only a great performer on stage, but also one of our youngest and most promising music directors, as seen with his work on Clash of the Choirs.
His performance at the 15th Metro FM Awards was met with a lot of positivity, even from people who are not avid Gospel listeners.

Khaya's peers have dubbed him as a multi-talented trendsetter and someone who expresses great passion when performing live.
What we also appreciate about Khaya is how excited he gets when he hears the talent of other people.
That's how you know a person is serious about their craft - when they see potential in others.
We honestly can't wait to see the Uprising DVD. Hopefully there will be numerous sequels to this project by Khaya.
