Somizi, the reality show, is coming to a small screen near you.

One of our favourite local entertainers, Somizi Mhlongo, has finally got his own reality show, and to say we are excited is an understatement.

Like thousands of South Africans glued to the Idols SA judge’s hilarious social media accounts, we have been dying for him to get his own show.

And the big bosses at M-Net finally came to their senses and did just that.

Officials revealed more details about the brand new reality show, Living the Dream with Somizi, on Wednesday.

The show will take a closer look at his flamboyant lifestyle.

As if that was not enough good news, M-Net announced that Somizi’s daughter, Bahumi, will also feature in season one!

“Somizi is such an exciting personality, love him or hate him, viewers can’t get enough of him. He’s proven his entertainment value on Idols SA and various other productions, and he’s always a massive hit,” M-Net’s Director of Local Entertainment Channels, Nkateko Mabaso said in a statement.

But there is more to Somizi’s lifestyle than fabulosity, so expect to see all the hard work that goes into being Somizi as well.

We think we might just have a new favourite reality show, so move over Keeping Up with the Kardashians

The first episode of Living the Dream with Somizi airs on April 13 on Mzansi Magic.
