What's Hot: Proverb and Onalerona through the years
By Zee Nonjabulo on 03 August 2015 at 14:20 · Comments
We take a look at Proverb and Onalerona's life together through the years.

By now, most of you will have learned of Proverb’s current cheating situation with his wife, Onalerona. Social media was abuzz on Sunday afternoon after Proverb confirmed the rumours that his wife had been cheating on him. While some people on social media offered Proverb strength, others jumped to Onalerona’s defence.

Despite the difficulties the couple are experiencing at the moment, we look back at the pair's life through the years as one of the youngest and most respected couples in the industry. They always seemed so happy together!

Young Love

Proverb and Onalerona married in 2005, when Pro was 24 and Onalerona 20.

The Kids

They have two children together - a daughter and a son. In previous years, Pro mentioned that he does not show his children’s faces so as to protect them from the media and for them to enjoy the experience of having a normal life.

Love and Hip Hop

In Proverb’s 2005 album (The Book of Proverb), the rapper penned down a love ballad entitled, “Will You Marry Me”. Coincidentally, in the same year, the couple married. We must add, besides Hip Hop Mentality, Will You Marry Me was our second favourite song from the album.

On the quest to lose weight together

When Proverb's brand began gaining momentum, one of the most visible changes we saw was on his journey to losing weight. Proverb did not travel the journey alone, as his wife also joined him.

A supportive wife

We've seen Proverb and Onalerona at many industry events. His wife was always right by his side at every interview, and at most SA Idols shows.

You looked smashing @proverbmusic ! Well done my Bae😻
