What's Hot: Reason gets deep on Twitter

Rapper reason, gives us some food for thought when it comes to being a fan of someone and their work.

Somebody call Oprah, we think Reason just had his “Ah-ha moment”!

It seems that rapper, Reason, has started doing some soul-searching. The star took to his Twitter account with a question that made his fans stand up and take note. Heck, he even got our wheels turning.

He tweeted, “The past few months have made me wonder. As an entertainer. Am I here to make you a fan of #Me or a fan of #MyWork???”.

Of course, like any other great philosopher, he backed that up with some examples, tweeting, “For example… I’m a fan of Birdman. But not his work.” In another tweet he added, “Or… I’m a big fan of Drakes work. But I’m not a Drake fan.”

Do you guys feel enlightened yet?

And just in case you were wondering where he’s headed with this, the rapper was quick to explain.

“I ask this, cause I now realize that when people are a fan of #You more than your #Work… then you can lose them easily with time.”

In another tweet, he goes on to say, “When someone connects with #YOU more than #YOURWORK, then all it takes is one mistake from #YOU, for them to disregard you.”

He went on to further explain his theory in 8 MORE TWEETS! we had to read over some of them more than once to fully understand what he meant.

So where do you stand on this? Do you think it’s possible to like an artist but not their work or vice versa? Why don’t you take some time to think about it while you check out Reason's full conversation with himself below.

SIDE NOTE: That would make a great name for a book if you ever plan on writing one, Reason. “Conversations with myself, by Reason”, we can see it now.
