The Moshoeu family has been hit by another tragedy. According to Times Live, former Bafana Bafana midfielder John "Shoes" Moshoeu’s son, Jermaine Moshoeu, passed away in a car accident this past weekend.
The family’s spokesperson Bessie Moche confirmed the news to SA Breaking News. According to the publication, Jermaine died with his cousin and three of his friends on Friday, 17 July in the south of Johannesburg. Jermaine allegedly lost control of his VW Polo GTi and crashed at Nasrec. Jermaine and his passengers were burnt beyond recognition after the car overturned several times.
“He was a father of four children and loved his kids to bits.” said Moche in a statement.
Details of Jermaine's funeral have not yet been revealed.
Shoes Moshoeu passed away in April after a long battle with cancer. He was 49-years-old.
