What's Hot: So cool! Isibaya in Portuguese
By Siyathemba Ben on 08 September 2015 at 12:21 · Comments
Wait, what?! Isibaya has been translated to Portuguese?!

Imagine chilling in a foreign counrty and then... boom! There's your favourite local soapie in another language! How awesome?!

That's exactly how we felt when Isibaya suddenly popped onto the TV screens in Portuguese. Yes, that's right. The show has been translated to accomodate viewers in Mozambique.

Now this means the actors are not only big in Mzansi, but they're also big in other parts of the continent. Big up to the team behind the show!

Check out the video below to see Nomzamo Mbatha and Pallance Dladla "speaking" Portuguese on TV.

The company responsible for this is Vanande Media – a subsidiary of Vanande Holdings.

The company has been been appointed to represent the latest innovation for the TV and film post-production industry, VoiceQ 2.0 software, in South Africa. This voice synchronisation software speeds up the dialogue creation and replacement process in the postproduction stage of film and television production.

Superimposed over the video, the software scrolls the script across the screen and the actor/voice-over artist reads the words when they hit the target line.

Vanande Media is currently using the software to dub Isibaya into Portuguese.
