South African artist, Candice Pillay, flies our flag high as she makes her musical mark on Dr Dre's Compton album.

In celebration of Women’s Day, we came across a young lady who is doing remarkable things abroad and flying the South African flag quite high. This lady goes by the name of Candice Pillay from Pietermaritzburg in KZN.

If you’re a hip hop fan by now you might have become accustomed to Dr Dre’s latest album in 15 years entitled Compton, which has been receiving rave reviews from musical experts. However, what’s even awesome is that Candice was given the opportunity to work on the album too.

Candice not only sang, but also wrote a single on the album titled Genocide. Quite impressive if you ask us. Apparently, Candice has also co-written for pop artists such as Rihanna. Even Nandi Mngoma was impressed with her body of work, she too saluted the singer for her success abroad.
