Local comedy series Thandeka's Diary is set to make a comeback in 2016.

Considered as one of the most hilarious sitcoms on SABC 1, Thandeka's Diary, starring the likes of Busisiwe Mtshali and comedian Skhumba, is set to return, according to Black Brain member, Mandla Ncongwane. The show, amongst other shows from the production company, will be returning next year.

“Black Brain Pictures has a lot in store for 2016, I can confirm that sitcoms like Ses’Top la, Abomzala and Thandeka’s Diary are all coming back, they’re getting recommissioned plus we’ve got a couple of drama’s that we’re busy doing as well," he said.

"We’re also infiltrating the ad space, we’re content creators so we’ll always be creating content, we’ll always be fishing and selling stuff because that’s what we do best as a business.”

Mandla also added that with Thandeka’s Diary they will continue to keep the characters and actors.

“Of course! You have to see the same actors, that’s why we casted them in the first place ‘cause we knew that they are amazing in what they do. Since the first season of Thandeka’s Diary all the actors have grown immensely as individual brands, some of the actors are acting in other huge roles in South Africa which is perfect for us because Thandeka's Diary was pretty much that launch pad for some of those actors.
