The actress, who won two SAFTAs last night, delivered an acceptance speech that will seriously bring you to tears

Brenda Ngxoli has finally received the recognition she deserves. The actress won two South Africa Film and Television Awards (SAFTAs) on Sunday night. The first award was for Best Supporting Actress in a TV Drama for her role as Gladys in Rockville, and the second was for Best Supporting Actress in a TV Comedy for her role as Pinky in Ses’Top la.

Sadly, Brenda wasn't there to accept her awards but she made it up to her fans by posting her acceptance speech on YouTube. In the speech, which was recorded in Xhosa and English, the actress and TV host said: "God always knows what he's doing... I'm sad that I couldn't join you last night. Thank you SAFTA judges, NVF (National Film Foundation). Thanks to those who started my career - the SABC."

She also thanked, Home Affairs - a drama in which she starred - and Penguin Films. She continued: "Thanks to those who've supported me in the industry. To the media, I thank you for respecting me, to producers, directors, everybody who believed in me, thank you."

Brenda also sent a shout out to Shona and Connie Ferguson and thanked her fellow Rockville actors. She became emotional as she thanked her mother, who raised her as a single parent. "Thanks for sticking by me when times were hard..."

She also thanked South Africans for the love they've shown her on social media. Yho! That speech was quite touching and we understand why. She has worked hard for so many years and her day finally came.

Brenda's win was celebrated by a lot of people, including Connie Ferguson. She sent a tweet to Brenda, which read: "Congratulations on your Best Supporting Actress Award for #Rockville2! We are proud @FERGUSON_FILMS."

What a big night for Brenda and we are convinced that nobody deserves this success as much as she does

Watch her speech below and try not to cry too hard.
