Kylie Jenner is the queen of Snapchat worldwide, while DJ Khaled is king of the snap universe, but South Africa has more than one celebrity vying for the aforementioned titles.
They may be behind, but our Mzansi stars are really catching on to Snapchat. Unlike Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, local celebrities seem to be more open on the picture and video sharing app.
It may have something to do with the fact that their videos and images are automatically deleted after 24 hours.
If you are new to the social network, here are five celebrities you need to follow. Find out which one of them is the king and which is the queen of Snapchat.
Thando Thabethe
Snapchat name: @thando_thabethe
Rating: 4/5
The radio personality has been on Snapchat for months and shares just about every aspect of her life, from early workout sessions at the gym, cooking for her boyfriend, to her puppy Dolce ripping her furniture (and anything he can sink his teeth into) to shreds.

Sbahle Mpisane
Snapchat name: @sbahle_mpisane (FitnessBunnie)
Rating: 2/5
Sbahle uses her snaps to show her followers the benefits of working out, but don’t try to take a screenshot of videos or images related to her personal life. Itu Khune’s girlfriend has a strict warning about people taking screengrabs of non-fitness images. Then why is she posting them on Snapachat? For that she gets a super low rating, despite her awesome fitness videos.

K.O
Snapchat name: @mrcashtime
Rating: 3/5
K.O has to be our favourite rapper on Snapchat. The Caracara star spends a lot of time flexing in the gym on Snapchat - not that we are complaining. He also shows off his travels and gives fans a behind-the-scenes look at his upcoming projects.

Pearl Thusi
Snapchat name: @pearlthusi
Rating: 4/5
Mama Pantha, Pearl Thusi, is not afraid to show the real her on Snapchat. You can find her getting down and dirty at a club, hiding her bae, wearing no make-up, and gushing over her beautiful daughter. She even gives fans tips on how to keep their hair looking as fabulous as her well maintained afro.

LeAnne Dlamini
Snapchat name: @leannedlamini (IamLeannemusic)
Rating: 3/5
LeAnne Dlamini joined Snapchat a few weeks ago, but she is already a pro. We have learned so much about the singer from her snaps. Her husband may spoil her rotten, but she is as down to earth as they come. One day she is doing her own hair and make-up for a shoot, and the next she is having breakfast in her pyjamas with her daughters. She even shared a snap of herself in hair curlers! We are loving this working mommy's snaps.

Who needs to up their game?
Some of our other favourites include DJ Zinhle, Bonang Matheba, Boity, and Minnie Dlamini. But they didn’t make the cut for their lack of devotion to snapping. But when they do snap, they give fans some awesome content to follow. Poppy Ntshongwana was one of the first celebs to jump on the Snapchat bandwagon and was well on her way to becoming Queen of Snapchat. But there are only so many snaps we can watch of her sweating during and after a run! Eish.
Verdict
King of Snapchat: Just like King Kylie, Thando Thabethe is slaying everyone (male and female) on Snapchat..
Queen of Snapchat: Pearl Thusi
