Ah, Christmas. The time of year we all drink and say a little too much. New Year’s Eve parties are the ideal occasion to let your crush know what you’ve been thinking and maybe even embark on a New Year’s relationship.

We all know someone we’d love to find waiting for us at midnight, and they’re usually our celebrity crushes. There are some people you may expect people to lust after, but sometimes the odd, strange crush will emerge when you’d least expect it.

Thanks to a recent survey by Ladbrokes Bingo, we finally know who’s waiting for who for the big midnight smooch. More than 900 people in the UK submitted their secrets, so let’s take a look to see who the UK’s biggest celebrity crush is…

Ladies first…
Girls, you have excellent taste in men. In first place for a midnight kiss was George Clooney, the silver fox of Hollywood. An acting veteran, there’s something about the eternally single George that women find irresistible.

In second place was David Beckham meaning Posh is going to be the envy of her party, while Brad Pitt and Johnny Depp were third and fourth respectively. There’s no doubt all of these men would be very welcome additions to any NYE’s event.

And, for the gentlemen…
The buxom beauty Kelly Brook came in first place for the men, showing that the model still hasn’t lost any of her appeal, especially when it comes to a secret New Year’s smooch. In second place was Celebrity Juice regular Holly Willoughby, and Cheryl Cole came in third.

In fourth place was Carol Vordeman. There’s no doubt that Carol is a stunner, but this was a bit of a surprise result. So what other surprise crushes came out in the quiz?

Jon Bon Jovi proved popular with a few participants, whilst Harrison Ford clearly still has a way with the ladies. Meanwhile, Jessica Rabbit and Lorraine Kelly also proved popular with the men!
