Listeners of Ukhozi FM's breakfast show will be fuming this week after hearing the bad news that the station's top DJ, Linda 'Mr Magic' Sibiya has been fired. Listeners are reportedly very angry and have accused the station manager, Bonga Mpanza, of having ‘poor management skills’.
It is reported that Mr Magic went against the laws of the SABC after he was accused of participating in ANC campaigns and urging people to vote - actions that are strictly forbidden of SABC employees.
His termination means that his morning show, Vuka Mzansi, will now be hosted by Sipho Mbatha, a.k.a DJ Sgqemeza.
Sibiya tweeted about being axed and the changes to the popular morning show:
