Kenny Kunene recently explained that he is more than ready for his upcoming roasting on Comedy Central.
After actor Leon Schuster pulled out of the Comedy Central roast, the controversial businessman took his place.
Stand up comedian John Vlismas, Tumi Morake, Afrikaans rapper Jack Parow, Jacaranda FM presenter Rian van Heerden, and musician PJ Powers were recently revealed as new roasters.
They are set to join radio personality Dineo Ranaka, choreographer Somizi Mhlongo, and socialite Khanyi Mbau.
UK comedian Jimmy Carr will be the roastmaster.
Kunene told Daily Sun that he wasn't surprised when he was informed that he would replace Schuster.
"Leon was just warming up the seat for me," he explained.
Kunene, also known as the Sushi King, said he has been working hard on his material for the event.
"I have been following international roasts for a long time. I have seen Charlie Sheen, Donald Trump and Joan Rivers burn, but I come prepared," he said.
The event will take place next week at the Gold Reef City's Lyric Theatre.
