Angelo: “Hoe gaan dit daar!”
Dit gaan goed man, but we’re sad though Angelo we were rooting for you to stay longer in the house!
No man don’t be sad, you must be happy and I’m happy because I acknowledge that you guys are proud of me so I already feel like a winner
Firstly congratulations for making it to the top 7 of Big Brother. Its usuallydifficult for us South Africans to stay that long. You always appeared to be an easy going type of guy who’s always up for a good time. Did you even have a strategy for this game? Honestly, l didn’t have any strategy I just entered the house with the idea of having fun and to constantly be myself with the hopes of people appreciating who Angelo is. This helped me to last longer in the house, it’s unfortunate that I didn’t make it all the way to the end but the fact that I left the house with my dignity intact makes me really proud of how I played the game.
It’s been a tough couple of weeks for the couples in the big brother house and we’ve seen you and Beverly make quite the couple. Can we expect a long lasting relationship to blossom from the interaction you’ve both had in the house?
I really do hope that a solid relationship comes from our in house relationship; I’m really just going to pray for the best. I’m trying to be positive about the whole situation because and like any other relationship it’s going to take a lot of hard work especially taking into consideration the geographical aspect of our relationship. It was easy when we were in the house because she was right there so the long distance issue wasn’t much of a factor in our relationship but now it will be, but Beverly actually has spoken to me about actually moving to South Africa so I’d say we’re definitely trying to make things work.
Speaking of careers we’ve seen you choreograph many productions, can South Africa expect to see you on our Television screens again soon? I’m actually quite keen in doing my own TV show that is based on dancing and I’m also looking to be a part of inspirational projects that focus on peoples personal growth, I believe that by me being in the house I was able to inspire many people and I just want to be able continue motivating upcoming dancers in our industry.
We then moved on to Ethiopian hunk Bimp, who had his own experience of Big Brother to share with us:
Bimp! You’ve been dubbed as the “silent assassin” of the house, how do you feel about that? Really? Me? A silent assassin? Never. I’ve never considered myself that but I will admit that I like the sound of it but I’m just your average gentleman, far from an assassin. [Laughs]
In our interview with Bassey, he had some harsh words to say about you, mentioning that he wanted you to burn and had a strong dislike towards you, what’s your comment on that? I can understand how he was feeling at that moment; I swapped him which honestly wasn’t the easiest thing to do but like I said I can understand that he was going through a whole lot of emotions and wasn’t happy about how I switched up the game on him like that.
O’Neal has referred to you as a close younger brother especially with regards to the conversations you both had, what’s your take on your relationship with him? O’Neal is one of the people that I was looking forward to meeting because I had heard about how intellectual he was and I really wanted to meet him and have those conversations and I’m glad I did so. But, I will say that the timing of us meeting wasn’t the best of times because we were really small in numbers and he was in a relationship which sort of took away from the time we could’ve had.
Any plans for the future? We know that you’re a hit with the ladies so will Bimp be taking up any GQ Magazine offers? [Laughs] If it comes up why not? But I’m not about that you know, I mean I have a girl back home and that’s why I chose to be the way I was in the house so if the future has many great opportunities to offer me I’ll gladly grab them by the hands to achieve my dreams.
