It’s been 13 years since Zamajobe stepped onto the scene, and it seems like the soulful vocalist is making a steady comeback into the music industry today. However, speaking to ZAlebs, Zamajobe made it clear that she is not in a rush to release a new album.
“I’m just chilling. I’m not in a rush because I’ve learned that its ok not to be in a rush. I just want to make sure that the loopholes that I didn’t realise I had when I started out are now closed. I need to make sure that my mental strength is strong because in the music industry you need much more than talent. Don’t get me wrong, I really want to get back, but I want to get back into the scene in a strong way," Zamajobe said.
"There’s a lot of things that I could do, but I just don’t want to do too much. I really want to place my focus on one thing and when I’m ready to release an album I shall do so. I also have a band that I currently working with and our focus is just really on creating great live shows."
Zamajobe will be celebrating the start of Women’s Month with a performance in Newtown at the launch of Kaya FM's 'Live @ The Baseline' concert, which is set to take place on Saturday, 1 August. According to Zamajobe, this promises to be an Afropolitan evening of pure entertainment and great soulful music.
“I’m hoping that my energy will be on point and everyone will have a great time with me and Maleh on stage," she added.
