Prince Kaybee has had to set the record straight after being accused of beefing with DJ Maphorisa.
In an attempt to show his excitement over the success of his hit single Fetch Your Life, Prince Kaybee had to throw some slight shade at DJ Maphorisa.
Remember when Prince assured fans that he will not be beefing with anyone this year? Well that 'promise' looked to have been short-lived, at least that's what fans thought this week.
It is no secret that the Prince had an amazing 2019 in terms of his career. However, those amazing moments were coupled with some 'beefs' with fellow artists in the industry people including Cassper Nyovest, others. It looked like he had ignited another beef this week when a tweet was misinterpreted.
In a celebratory mode, he had to mention Lawd Of Hits and Kabza De Small who dominated dance floors all of 2019 as well.
His hit song 'Fetch Your Life' featuring Msaki, dominated the music charts for most of 2019. It was the most played song in the country, according to stats. Sharing the good news on social media, he had to be cheeky about it and throw some slight shade at the Scorpion Kings.
He "jokingly" told Maphorisa that he can have December, because he owned the entire year. "Fetch Your Life dominated from 1st January till 31st December with over 1.3 Billion audience impacts." he bragged on Twitter.
The tweet was met with mixed reactions from fans who thought Prince was igniting some beef with Maphorisa.
Assuring fans that he meant no harm with his tweets, he had to clarify that he and Maphorisa are 'brothers'.
He agreed with a fan who said that there is nothing wrong with a little bit of healthy competition.
He also let fans know that he and Maphorisa are good friends "Aybo, I’m not beefing, Maphorisa is a good peer of mine, we even planning a car spinning contest, akere Phori?"
Prince Kaybee has every right to be proud of himself. His album, Remmino, achieve gold status.
