Speaking to Daily sun, the producer described what the song means and he said it speaks about love and is inspired by his relationship.
"Ayabulela speaks about love. It is inspired by the moments of my relationship. It is also my girlfriend’s name who I have been with for under a year now. I worked with up-and-coming artists on the song because I was once that myself. I believe that if someone was able to give you a big break, you should help others have the same big break too. Don’t close the doors for other people," he told the publication.
