Ever since the Department of Arts & Culture announced that they would be allocating funding to artists because of the Coronavirus, two months ago, they have been very quiet.
So much so, that Thandiswa Mazwai was interested to know which artists have received these funds yet. According to a follower, there are 39 recipients already.
Thandiswa Mazwai, who has been in the industry for more than 2 decades, was grateful and surprised that these 39 artists existed.
These recipients some with very odd and interesting names, that couldn't go unnoticed, with Rami Chuene joking about their ironic names.
Bonnie Mbuli, on the other hand, wanted to know if even sharing their names was legal. One user who played a detective and Google the artists didn't seem to think so.
Do you think the Department has actually allocated the funds?
