AKA And Nadia Nakai's Modern-Day Fairy Tale

AKA and Nadia Nakai are amongst the most powerful couples in Zalebville right now, and they’re also the most talked about couple in town. The two are both doing exceptionally well in their fields and together, they are a force to be reckoned with.

After months of speculations that something was cooking between AKA and Nadia Nakai, the two musicians finally made their relationship public in February 2022 after AKA commented on Nadia Nakai’s Instagram post with love eyes emoji and in early March, AKA shared a GIF of him and Nadia Nakai sharing a kiss, clearing things for the doubting Thomases.

Prior to that, the couple who had tried to hide their relationship (very poorly, we might add) went on vacation together earlier in the year, and although they didn’t post pictures of themselves together, they separately posted individual pictures in the same location. They made it too easy for the social media police who had already smelled something cooking between them.

Although the couple seems to be so happy together and smitten with each other, their fans seem to have divided opinions and while a good majority are happy for them, a small fraction of them are either disgusted by their never-ending PDA and a section of Nadia Nakai’s fans have even judged her for choosing Supa Mega.

In April 2022, a couple of months after making their relationship public, a few tabloids reported that there was trouble in the couple’s paradise.

The two talented rappers had gone to Ghana for work when they allegedly had an altercation. According to a witness who spoke to the DailySun, the couple got engaged in a heated physical and verbal exchange and even briefly unfollowed each other on Instagram.

When asked for her comment about the alleged incident, Nadia Nakai denied there being any form of a physical or verbal altercation between herself and AKA and said that there was no drama between them. The couple also went on to issue a joint public statement denying the alleged drama.

Besides the alleged incident in Ghana, the couple has been keeping true to their words of no drama and it’s been nothing but all love between them with cute posts on Instagram in each other's arms accompanied by the sweet lovey-dovey exchange of comments between them. It seems that the two were meant for each other and we are glad they’ve finally found each other.

Before AKA and Nadia Nakai became an item, they each had dated different other people. Shortly before hints circulated that she and AKA were an item, Nadia Nakai was in a relationship with an American called Vic Mensa. The two worked together, travelled together and looked great together, but they were unfortunately not meant to last forever and so they broke up.

Before that, the Money Calling hitmaker had been linked to Bandile Mbere of the Major Leaguez DJs and Dotcom. 

When she was starting out in the industry and was signed to Cassper Nyovest’s Family Tree Records, there were speculations that the two were dating but they both, however, dispelled the rumours.

Like his current bae, AKA also dated some famous people too in the past. His most prominent relationship was with DJ Zinhle which resulted in their baby girl- Kairo Owethu Forbes who was born in 2015. The two broke up after AKA cheated on DJ Zinhle but they got back together before ending the relationship for good.

After breaking up with DJ Zinhle, AKA started dating Anele “Nellie” Tembe and the two announced their engagement on 21st, February 2021. Their relationship ended in April 2021 after Nellie Tembe died in mysterious circumstances.
