AKA has joined the legions of Zalebs who star on reality TV shows
But SupaMega’s TV gig won’t see him beefing with rival rappers or performing at sold-out shows around the country.
Instead, the award-winning artist will be surprising unsuspecting wedding guests in a fun new show titled 2 Weddings & a Superstar.
The once-off special will see the rapper gatecrash weddings of two couples who are self-confessed ‘die-hard’ fans of the Fela In Versace star.
And it seems AKA is a perfect fit for the show. His smash hit Caiphus Song, amoungst many others, is a popular pick at wedding marches.
Of the new show, AKA claims he is “honoured” to be a part of the couples’ special day.
He said of the experience; “I have made some music and drawn some inspiration in terms of the style in some of the songs that I’ve made, that are kind of tailor-made for weddings. So, it’s a cool experience for me to be able to enhance somebody’s big day in this way.
“Hopefully for our couples, their weddings are going to be something they will remember in a really positive light for the rest of their lives.”
