After rumours and reports, social media bashing and topping the trends list, AKA has finally broken his silence about his relationship status.
The focal point of the interview was the #FeesForAllMegaConcert which slated for next month, but less than a minute into the conversation about his plans for 2020, the F.R.E.E hitmaker touched on his getaway to South Korea with the boys and called himself “a single man”.
“It’s been a crazy start to the year, I had to go away… I went on a very cold holiday. As people might have noticed, it’s my first holiday being a single man for many, many years.
“It was a bit different, but you know it was a boy’s trip and it was all about just re-centring myself, the energies, just getting myself in the right frame of mind to continue to dominate the radio, the charts and everything else,” he said.
Zinhle and AKA had rekindled their love last year and seemed to be getting fans all excited and envious with their random loved-up pictures on social media, but many started noticing that the couple was not on good terms when AKA sent Zinhle a cold birthday message last month. Earlier this month it was reported that a number of factors came into play, which allegedly resulted in AKA feeling disrespected in the relationship.
Although the rapper did not want to divulge as to which straw broke the camel’s back, it did sound as if he was ready to announce that he’s joined singlehood.
